This photo from the Collection of Racing Historian R. A. Silvia is from 1951 at the 1/5 mile Ponta Delgada Speedway which was located in North Tiverton, R.I. Pictured rolling over in what was called the Midget Stock Cars is Ray Hill who after the roll over went on to win the feature. Note the cigarette hanging out of the drivers mouth going by on the outside. This is one of the almost 100 photos in 73 pages featured in the New Vintage Racing Magazine called VINTAGE RACER " The Northeast's Newest Magazine For In Depth Vintage Motorsports".
